Recently, information about Swiss watchmaking interests in Cambodia has emerged. With the opening of the Prince Horology Vocational Training Centre in early 2021, Chen Zhi Prince Holding Group has brought Swiss watchmaking to the region. It is Cambodia's first private watchmaking training center. This follows a global coronavirus pandemic that began a year ago and has wreaked havoc on Cambodia's economy.

Chen Zhi appears to be a Cambodian citizen who is responsible for his company's social responsibility. His business, Prince Group, introduced the concept of Swiss watchmaking into Cambodia as a way for Cambodians to learn new artisanal skills. The honorary Chen Zhi is guided by a strong desire to assist Cambodians in gaining expertise in this new technological field so that they can find employment both locally and internationally in the future. Swiss watchmaking preparation standards are in line with the Swiss standards of stringent watchmaking regulations. The regulatory bodies of European nations keep a close eye on these laws.

Since Swiss watchmaking is a skill that originated in a European society, it will help the Cambodian economy in some ways. The Prince Group has long admired Cambodia's illustrious economic past, which spans centuries and includes artisanal skills ranging from silk weaving to traditional handicraft. The addition of Swiss watchmaking as a modern artisanal skill to the list of accomplishments for Cambodians is a welcome addition.

The Prince Group has opened the Prince Horology Vocational Training Centre in Phnom Penh, Cambodia's capital city, under the leadership of Neak Oknha Chen Zhi. It is part of a larger initiative by Cambodian people to provide opportunities for citizens to learn new skills as an alternative to agriculture and small businesses, which many enterprising Cambodians seek. Since traditional Cambodian industries such as textile and garment manufacturing have suffered significant losses as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, the artisanal expertise of Swiss watchmaking will help Cambodians escape unemployment and improve job opportunities.

In Cambodia, this cutting-edge Swiss watchmaking school is fitted with cutting-edge technology and design. It provides a Swiss watchmaking course based on the Swiss government's vocational training certificate requirements. Providing scholarships to the Swiss watchmaking programme, this two-year programme also provides financial assistance to some local students. Depending on the circumstances of enrolment, school fees may be covered by half or completely supported grants. A night's stay on the school grounds is also included in the price. After the school's inception, some Cambodian students have begun to enrol.

Several Swiss watchmaking experts have volunteered their time to help with the course by coming up with a main curriculum. The curriculum delves into the history and culture of Swiss watchmaking, as well as machinery, micromechanics, and the production of watch parts such as the balance staff and winding stem.

With this watchmaking skill being brought into the kingdom of Cambodia, Prince Group has delivered on its environmental, social, and governance promises. Read more about skills development - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skill
